A sparkling elderflower cocktail fit for a Hugo. Light, bright and dreamy, this is the perfect summer cocktail for aperitivo hour. Serve with your favorite anitpasto - perhaps some prosciutto and melon, maybe an aged Parmigiano Reggiano, then kick back and relax and let your mind wander through a field of wild flowers.
Ingredients
- ¾ ounce elderflower liqueur
- 1 sprig of mint
- 4 ounces prosecco
- Chilled soda water
- 8-12 dashes Peach Bitters
Directions
- Add elderflower liqueur and mint to wine glass.
- Muddle very gently with back of a bar spoon.
- Add the prosecco, then top with soda water.
- Add bitters to the top of the glass as a “float” and garnish with a mint sprig. Cheers!
