I ordered a mystery box to share with my partner on our recent kinda vacation... I love how it was wrapped simply with brown paper and tied with twine...

Bring your favorite Grilling companion indoors for those rainy days when you WISH you were out in the sun and the fun! All the greatness of cooking with Salt Blocks on your BBQ, right inside your kitchen. This round stove top salt block is the most versatile Salt Block on the market. Perfect for the kitchen and the holidays and can be fired up outside after the weather warms back up. And of course, this block performs like a champ on the grill too!
The Meadow’s Himalayan salt blocks are the best available anywhere, hand-picked from the purest seams of 600 million year old salt deposits deep under the rugged Punjabi landscape. Suitable for freezing to -320°F (-196°C) and heating to 900°F (482°C); no other salt block has been tested to such extremes! We literally wrote the book on cooking with Himalayan salt bricks, salt platters, salt slabs, and even salt bowls, earning the trust of everyone from Food Network stars to hard-hitting professional chefs to home cooks of every stripe.
Our Himalayan Salt Blocks are selected for both natural beauty and structural integrity. Suitable for all uses, from saltblock freezing to frying to curing to grilling. Serve fruits and cheeses, cure unreal gravlax, warm a salad of wilted greens and Roquefort cheese, sear lobster or flatiron steak or duck breast with duck fat-fried potato chips, chill tuna tartar or scallop ceviche, and for desert, try freezing some salted bitters ice cream!

So pleased to receive my beautiful new salt block in the mail.
I was a little worried about shipping long distance- but it was well wrapped and secure, and is now happily in use in my kitchen.
You all are the best! Thanks Meadow!
Home confinement requires a ‘make your own fun’ spirit and six months without a visit to a restaurant means making dinner an experience takes some work. Enter the Himalayan salt block. It arrived pristine and intact and other worldly. Once heated on the burner to kiln like heat, it played host to filet mignon, lamb chops, asparagus, prosciutto wrapped figs and wild mushrooms. It was like Benihana with worse trained chefs! The food emerged perfectly cooked and best of all - barely any dishes to wash. Also impressive: the next day the block’s surface, while discolored by all the searing, really didn’t require much cleaning nor did retain the essence of all the items that were cooked. Looking forward to a next multi course meal.
Thank you for the amazing, mouth-watering review of the Himalayan Salt Block Round. Can we come over for dinner? Haha!
First, the round salt block is beautiful!
This is the second one we bought, but we had put the first one away waiting for summer. We decided to buy a second one after reading the two salt block cookbooks we bought, and to support one of our favorite stores during this strange Covid time.
We prepared a Caprese salad on the new one right away. Again, beautiful! And better yet, the salad was tastier than ever.
We are looking forward to warmer weather to grill on one of the two and to serve a beautiful salad on the other.
Looking forward to visiting Andrew in the Village as soon as we are back to normal.
