I really love the idea of this tiny salt box, but the reality is not as great. First, I would like to say that it is very beautiful, well made, expertly carved, & a great color. I can tell the wood is good quality and holds a good amount of salt.
However, the box itself is not easy to open (or close). As many reviews have said, the sliding panel is VERY tight…. Too tight to function.
I managed to get it open a few times, but now I think it is somehow worse than when I got it.
It just isnt very practical if it doesnt open easily.

What a brilliant idea to have a portable salt container to take anywhere. Love the wood design, such a cute trinket!

Cute box - but it won’t open

Received this cute box as a gift for Christmas but I can only get it opened with a screwdriver and hammer, rendering it useless. Tried sanding it down, applying wax - not working. Please test your boxes before sending out!

Pepper mix

I ordered this set to try some fresh peppers from around the world. I even bought a new mortar and pestle for the table. I have tried all of them and nearly finished two jars in about two weeks. The Tellicherry and Voatisperifery are my favorites but I like them all. Getting ready to make a second order.

Halen Mon

This was my first order from The Meadow and I mixed pepper and several salts. After trying several Halen Mon Silver is one of my favorites. I haven’t found one I really don’t like yet but this one is special.
