A true craft shoyu, and dare we say... a modern pantry staple.
Naturally-fermented shoyu is cold-smoked using Mizunara hardwood, then aged for six months. The Japanese oak used to smoke this soy sauce lends a rich, robust, umami rich smoked flavor.
A dash or two is all you need. Use a splash on grilled fish and vegetables, as a topping for a steamed bowl of rice, or as an accompaniment when serving sashimi.
Ingredients: Water, soybeans, salt, wheat, alcohol, natural wood smoke.
