This chocolate bar is crafted using cacao beans from the Esmeraldas rainforests in Ecuador.¬†Notes of caramel and hazelnut with Fleur de Sel¬†resonate throughout this rare Arriba cacao. The taste floats down from Ecuador‚Äôs last Pacific cloudforest, where silky tree frogs bask in the humid breeze.
Founded in 2008 by former UN worker Philipp Kauffmann, Original Beans Chocolate is bean to bar chocolate maker based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. This company puts a great deal of attention to the sustainability aspect of chocolate making: each chocolate bar purchased from Original Beans goes to plant a new tree¬†in regions as remote as the amazon and challenging as Eastern Congo.
