Primitrivizia's Mugolio Pinecone bud syrup is made using, the Mugo pine found in the Dolomite Alps. The miniature pine tree produces a sweet syrup that after harvesting is macerated in water and sugar and then is filtered to create the rich, golden liquid.
With flavors of pine and honey it's the perfect compliment to a variety of dishes, from sweet to savory. The perfect addition to a holiday platter comprised of meats, cheeses, nuts, and fruit.
Pair with: A cheese platter full of salty, nutty Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, manchego and sharp white cheddar

You have to love a syrup that can be drizzled on goat cheese to replacing maple syrup on a waffle. It is sharp, piney and aromatic. Use it in cocktails in place of bitters. I tried it in a martini in place of vermouth…lovely!
