Ranger's Mayan bar, influenced by the ancient Maya culture from Mesoamerica is a fantastical blend of herbs and spices, better than the sum of its parts. Pair with a glass of whiskey. Or melt down into drinking chocolate.
The Mayan people are known to have combined cacao with spices and chile peppers to produce the drink of the gods. With this bar, Ranger honors the traditional ingredients found in their ancient drink, blending them into a unique chocolate experience. The bar is finished by adding unrefined raw kakao to enhance flavor and texture.
Ranger Chocolate Co. was founded by George Domurot and David Beanland in 2013. Their mission was to create the highest quality chocolate bars using organic, Fair Trade (or better!) and sustainably sourced ingredients. Located in Portland’s vibrant Central Eastside, our factory boasts a chocolate & coffee cafe with in-house baked goods, our full line of products, and seasonal treats. We make our chocolate from scratch (bean-to-bar) in our factory space — from roasting cacao through packaging. Our chocolate bars are hand-wrapped to precision — simple, exquisite and beautiful.
