Sajji salt is a yellow-orange rock salt made in the same way as the renowned black salt of India, Kala Namak. Himalayan pink salt is heated to a high temperature until it is melted. Then a blend of natural herb (Sajji) is mixed in. The molten salt is then allowed to cool, forming into strange foamy, lava-like rocks.
We hear that it is popular in Japan for aiding digestion and stomach healing. It has an extremely mild flavor and a uniquely brittle, crunchy texture.
