Rigatoncini - Gourmet Pasta from Italy

A popular southern Italian shape, larger than penne but cut straight across. The question is: what can't this pasta do?

Lather it in a spicy tomato sauce with a touch of cream, or imbuepecorino and pancetta (Gricia) until silken and rich as they do in Rome. Go old school and fling tomatoes, sardines, fennel and breadcrumbs as they might do in Sicily. Or roast then puree a butternut squash, season generously with salt, pepper, then coat the pasta with sauce and more olive oil. The choice is yours. 

Cook for 10 to 12 minutes until al dente.

Ingredients: Durum wheat semolina, water.

Delightful Rigatoncini and more to love from The Meadow

I purchased this rigatoncini Italian pasta, as part of a self put together Valentines Day package for my husband. We combined it with a chunky sauce made with the jar of Hand Peeled Tomatoes from Italy, also from The Meadows, for part of a LOVEly meal. This, combined with tasty chocolates for dessert and yummy Ranger Granola for breakfast the next morning. Oh, and the Tasmanian creamy, thick, Meadow Honey, from Australia, is pure love too.
