I got a jar of this in my salt subscription box and was not sure what to do with it at first.
Now, it is the staple flavor of my new favorite side dish: black beans simmered in a tablespoon of butter with a little cayenne.
I've added this to salads and soups, and it usually adds a nice bit of warm earthiness, like mushrooms without the funk, but if you put it on top of plain avocados (my most recent favorite) it brings out a citrus note that's really lovely.
I received a small box as a gift. I liked it so much I ran through it quickly, so I just bought a one-pound bag. I used it tonight!
