This salt is, in my opinion, the most amazing thing. The subtleness of the complex flavor changes with the different types of food. I have to use so little to get such flavor enhancement.
I bought this salt as an accompaniment for the Tsushima No Moshio salt: both are great as finishing salts and using them together we have enjoyed finding a balance between salt and added umami flavor on steak, eggs and some of our favorite Asian dishes.
Has a distinct, yet subtle taste that is so different from regular sea salt. Makes the dish taste different than ever before, in a good way. Fantastic!

I have three different salts on my table, Pink Himalayan, fine black Hawaiian and the Shinkai . I think the Shinkai is the best finishing salt of he three.
