Lurking within every self-respecting jar of pinot noir salt is a lot of very respectable pinot noir.

At long last! A match made in super snackable heaven: Sokol Blosser Winery Dundee Hills 2012 Pinot Noir Salt + your favorite goat cheese + fig jam. We've been working with Sokol Blosser's vintage pinot noir - delicious in its own right - for months now, to get juuuust the right formula. Infused gently with Bitterman Salt Co.'s sun evaporated fleur de sel, the end result is the most unexpectedly addicting addition to cheese... Since God invented the macaroni noodle.

This salt has a strong aroma, bright visual impact, and a tamarind-like tart sweetness. Sprinkle it on all manner of hard and soft cheeses, maple-glazed coho salmon, paprika rubbed pork loin, braised lamb shank with sage, duck fat roasted winter root vegetables, or pinch a few grains atop baklava or pistachio ice cream.

Ingredients: Sea salt, Sokol Blosser Pinot Noir

    An elegant finishing

The pinot noir salt was used as a finishing over a block of Feta cheese that was served with a fig jam spread. Not only pretty & unique, it added a hint of the pinot noir taste & a delightful color. The salt helped make the dish stand out in several ways.
